Baigalmaa is a senior associate with Melville Erdenedalai LLP. She has a wide range of experience in M&A, joint ventures, licensing, project finance and regulatory matters, with a special interest in energy and mining, and banking and finance. Prior to joining the firm, she worked for Hogan Lovells (Mongolia) LLP for 4 years.

  • Advising international major solar power developers on proposed 50MW solar power generation projects in Mongolia.

  • Advising an international commercial bank on the restructuring of facility and security agreements relating to the ECA-supported financing of goods and services of EUR 27 million, and subsequent release of securities.

  • Advising a major Mongolian supplier of heavy equipment and machinery on an equity to debt conversion and settlement during arbitration proceedings;  

  • Advising a Japanese construction company and its Mongolian group of companies on reorganisation, M&A and relevant tax issues;

  • Advising EBRD on Capital Markets Legal and Regulatory Reform in Mongolia.

  • Advising a major Mongolian concrete producer on its financing agreement, shareholder’s agreement and subsequent restructuring.

  • Advising a Multilateral Development Bank on the restructuring of a US$ 57 million secured loan to a major Mongolian food and beverage company.

  • Advising a Swiss-based air transport communications and information technology company on procurement laws and on-going legal matters.

  • Advising an international oil & gas company on due diligence matters for its bid on a production sharing agreement, a farmout agreement and various petroleum related matters.

  • Advising a Singapore based British multinational company on duty-free shop licensing and subsequent regulatory matters.

  • Advising the Government of Mongolia on issuances of sovereign bonds totaling US$ 1.1 billion.

  • Advising a major Japanese company in its joint venture establishing 15MW solar power plants in Tuv and Dornogovi provinces of Mongolia.

  • Advising a major Japanese Bank on the establishment of its representative office in Mongolia and dealing with subsequent compliance issues and on-going legal matters.

  • Advising a major a Multilateral Development Bank on an equity to debt conversion.

  • Advising a multinational telecommunication  company on regulations and licensing matters.

  • Advising a major Japanese tobacco company on importing, manufacturing and trading TM and NTMs.

  • Advising a multinational energy services company on licensing requirements for construction-related services.
